More about Net10

Net10 is Tracfone branded prepaid service that is compatible with all phones. Net10, offers pay as you go plans, business plans, family plans and single line plans that include minutes, data and text.

Offering plans for both GSM and CDMA devices, Net10 has made switching to their service easy, no matter who the current carrier is. All the user has to do is purchase a SIM and plan to activate their unlocked device. Any phone will work on Net10 as long as the device is unlocked and paid in full. Net10 does not lock users into a contract which allows customers to change their phones and plans whenever they want. Net10 requires no activation fees, credit checks, contracts or even age limits when purchasing their service.

With Net10 there is an Auto Fill Option. With the Auto Fill Option, users can easily automate the refill process so that the plan operates like a monthly plan. Simply register a debit/credit card and the payment will be made automatically on the last day of service. Customers can cancel at anytime without penalties or fees. Net10 does not charge overages when users exceed their monthly data limits. Once a customer has reach their monthly data allowance, the 4G LTE data speeds will be slowed to 2G speeds.

Net10 has a variety of cell phone plans. Some plans include international calling in addition to their normal monthly plans. For example, the Unlimited Plan and Unlimited Plan + International Calling are different plans, however both include the same amount of data and unlimited national talk and text. What makes the International Calling different is the additional features included. The international calling plan includes unlimited calls to mobile phones in Mexico, China, Canada and India every 30 day cycle.

Fast Facts: Net10

iPhone SE

Net10 is a MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) that runs on the Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile networks. Net10 was started under the TracFone brand in 1996.

  • Network: Net10 runs on Verizon's 4G LTE network. Verizon uses bands 0 and 1 for 3G (850Mhz, 1900Mhz), and bands 2, 4, 13 (1900Mhz, 1700f, 700c) for LTE. Net10 also runs on Sprint's nationwide 3G/4G CDMA network in the 1900 MHz PCS band. Sprint LTE band frequency supports bands 25 and 41. Lastly, the company runs on T-Mobile's 4G LTE network, which uses LTE bands 4 and 12. These bands use the frequencies 1900, 1700 def, 700a. For phones using 2G or 3G network technology, the T-Mobile network will primarily use the 1900 MHz frequency.
  • Coverage: Net10 runs on all four major cellular networks. The latest national network coverage tests have Verizon at #1, AT&T at #2, T-Mobile at #3, and Sprint at #4
  • Where to Buy: Net10 plans and phones are available at participating Walmart stores or by clicking the button below.
  • Bring Your Own Phone to AT&T: Net10 allows customers to bring AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, or unlocked GSM phones with them for service. All that's required is a Net10 SIM card or activation kit. Check your device's compatibility on Net10 here
  • Tethering: Net10's unlimited plans cannot be used for tethering at the moment.

Fact: Net10 accepts unlocked phones from all four major carriers in the US, so you can take almost any device to Net10 and get it activated.
