Profect Fi is a no contract mobile service. The $20 base plan includes unlimited domestic talk and text, international texts and coverage in 135+ countries. When traveling to these countries, text are included and calls cost 20¢ per minute.
For data, set your budget with the data you want, and pay $10 per GB. Users can use their phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot to share data with other devices.
At the end of each month, users get a credit of the value of any unused data on their next month's bill. If going over your data budget, data will be charged at the same rate of $10 per GB, charged in 1MB increments.
Project Fi is only available with the Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X and Nexus 6 because they are the first smartphones to support multiple cellular networks and have a cellular radio tuned to work across network types.
This plan offers unlimited domestic minutes & text messages, unlimited international texting from the US and while abroad in/to 135+ countries and destinations.
Project Fi allows you to add up to 5 people on your plan at $15 per month each. Data is shared between all the members. Single bill for all members.
You can use your data and unlimited text in over 135 countries included at no extra charge. Calls are 20 cents a minute on cell coverage when overseas.
Project Fi automatically connects you to the fastest network available in your location, high-quality Wi-Fi (not counting towards your data amount) or partner LTE (Sprint & T-Mobile). Your phone can also connect to two 4G networks when on LTE networks to get faster speeds. If you lose your Wi-Fi connection when making a call, Project Fi seamlessly transitions your call to a cellular network so you can keep talking.
Most carriers use LTE network as of 2017, compare all the latest cell phone plans and get the best deal.

Owned by Google, Project Fi is an MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) that provides cellular service through Wi-Fi and cellular tower coverage provided by Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular. Project Fi has created a SIM that can access and use these networks. The service will switch between the networks using whichever service is stronger and faster in a general area. Project Fi is also engineered to connect to any available Wi-Fi hotspot. If making a call through Wi-Fi, Project Fi will automatically switch users to a cell network if their Wi-Fi coverage isn’t strong enough to make a call. Basically, Project Fi connects its customers to the strongest available network between Wi-Fi and two 4G LTE networks.
Project Fi is only available for users who have a Pixel XL, Pixel, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X or a Nexus 6. These devices are the only devices compatible with the Project Fi SIM which uses T-Mobile, Sprint and US Cellular, plus any connectable Wi-Fi.
If a potential user would like to sign up with Project Fi, but they do not have one of these devices, they can purchase one through Project Fi. Customers have the option to either purchase the phone outright or if they qualify, over a 24-month payment period. Even though members can only use Project Fi on these specific devices, if users want to switch services down the road, they can use these devices with other service providers as the phones come unlocked. Following the purchase of a device, customers will receive a one-year warranty within the purchase date of their Nexus. Project Fi also offers device protection for the 6P and 5X. With this protection, users can have their phones replaced from self-inflicted damage outside of the warranty. Device protection won't be available for the Nexus 6.
If users get to the end of the month and haven’t used all of their data, Project Fi will credit them roughly 1 cent per MB of unused data. This credit will then be applied to the following month’s bill. If a customer decides to leave Project Fi, she will only be charged the remaining balance of her bill if and only if she choses to pay for her device over a 24-month payment period. When traveling to other countries, users can select to add extra GBs to their data plan for the same price as it cost in the US. Users can also use their data in over 100 countries at no extra charge.
