RingPlus is a prepaid carrier that runs off the Sprint 4G LTE network. RingPlus is compatible with all unlocked Sprint CDMA devices and offers Bring Your Own plans. Blackberry, Palm, Push-to-Talk, Virgin, or Boost Mobile phones can't be activated. RingPlus also offers their own devices to be purchased and used with their service.
RingPlus is one of the only carriers to offer a truly free plan that includes talk, text and data. Along with their free plans, they also offer unlimited talk and text with large amounts of data and plans that only include data. Once customers reach their monthly allowance, they will be charged a top-up fee. Each plan has a different top-up fee which is charged in the event you exceed your monthly limit.
RingPlus smartphones can be purchased from the RingPlus website and carry the latest smartphones from brands like as Apple, Samsung and LG. If users would like to purchase a phone through RingPlus, they will need to purchase the device in full as RingPlus does not offer monthly installment options for new phones.
When “Bringing Your Own Phone” the device must have previously run off the Sprint CDMA network and must be paid off. Customers who are ready to switch simply need to purchase a SIM card, a service plan and then activate the device.
RingPlus also has an array of add-ons that are included and can be charged additionally to each plan. RingPlus Radio is a way for RingPlus to cover their free plans. Choose from 40+ radio stations including their premier news station that provides customers with many breaking stories.
RingPlus also offers international calling and texting charged by the minute and text. Any extra amount of data is charged per megabyte.
RingPlus includes Wi-Fi calling with their data plans at no extra charge. Wi-Fi calling can be used over any internet connection worldwide. If traveling outside your local area, roaming and data roaming charges will apply.
Auto Top-Up is included with some plans. Auto Top-Up automatically charges a customer once they have exceed their monthly data amount. If a users account reaches $0, RingPlus will auto charge the account for the top-up fee. If the user doesn’t have any money with the card on file, the service will be suspended until it is paid. Some plans are free as long as the user doesn’t go over the allotted amounts on the free plans.
The only downsides to RingPlus are the fact they only are compatible with Sprint CDMA devices and overage charges can add up really quick. Users should be mindful of their usage.
