Kinetic plans for stand alone high speed internet offer speeds ranging from 100 Mbps to 2 Gbps in most areas where they are available.
Cable or Fiber Connection
Kinetic internet is provided using either a standard cable connection or a fiber connection. Cable internet is provided using a cable modem service, which allows for high speed broadband using the same coaxial cables that you would use for your TV. Fiber internet is provided using fiber-optic cables that transmit data as light pulses which allows for super fast internet service. Fiber typically transmits data at speeds that exceed current DSL or cable modem speeds.
The speeds you experience will vary depending on the modem configuration, internet and server traffic, conditions in external environments, condition of the inside wiring and equipment, network management, and many other factors.
Professional Installation
Kinetic includes professional installation with your purchase of an internet package. Someone must be present at time of installation.
Modems / Bring Your Own Modem
Kinetic provides customers with a modem for a small monthly fee. Customers can also bring your own compatible modem. Customers on the 1 and 2 Gig plans also get up to two Wi-Fi extenders included with their plan ($5.00 additional charge for any after the 2 included).
