Satellite Connection
Satellite internet is provided using a dish or base station in conjunction with an internet modem. Speeds for satellite broadband depend on several factors, including line of sight to the orbiting satellite, modem configuration, conditions in external environments, condition of the inside wiring and equipment, network management, and many other factors. Satellite service can be disrupted in extreme weather conditions.
Installation
Professional installation is provided with all Viasat plans. A one-time installation fee up to $500 may apply in extenuating circumstances.
Modems / Bring Your Own Modem
Viasat plans include a modem for a monthly fee. Customers can also bring their own compatible modem to Viasat.
