T-Mobile is taking up to $1,000 off the iPhone Duo when you add a new line and port in your number, or trade in an eligible phone in any condition, on Experience Beyond 2.0. Apple's first foldable lists at $1,999.99 for 256GB, so the full credit cuts the price in half to $999.99, or about $27.78/month over 36 months.

The trade-in route doesn't require a new line, so existing T-Mobile customers can get the same $1,000 discount as switchers, which makes this one of the friendliest launch deals around for people already on T-Mobile. You'll need a plan at $100/month or more with AutoPay and 36 monthly bill credits, and both are easy to live with on a phone you'll want to keep for years.

How to get $1,000 off the iPhone Duo

You can reach the full $1,000 on Experience Beyond 2.0 by adding a new line and porting in your number with no trade-in, or by trading in an iPhone 16 in any condition. An iPhone 14 earns $730 and older eligible iPhones get $500, and existing customers on Experience Beyond or Go5G Next qualify too.

At $1,999.99, Apple's foldable works out to roughly $55.56/month over 36 months, and the $1,000 credit cuts that to about $27.78/month. With an iPhone 14 trade-in, you're at roughly $35/month, which is a pretty small monthly price for the first iPhone that folds.

What you get with Experience Beyond 2.0

Experience Beyond 2.0 costs $100/month with AutoPay and includes unlimited premium data, 250GB of high-speed hotspot data, and unlimited 4K UHD streaming, with Netflix Standard with Ads and Hulu with Ads on us. You also get T-Satellite coverage, in-flight Wi-Fi on select US flights, 15GB of high-speed data in 215+ countries, and a 5-Year Price Guarantee that locks in your plan price.

That 250GB hotspot lets the phone stand in for home Wi-Fi on a road trip or during an outage, and unlimited 4K streaming looks fantastic on a big folding screen. Existing customers on the original Experience Beyond or Go5G Next can stay put, but most people adding a line or switching will land on the 2.0 plan.

Want T-Mobile coverage at a lower cost?

An MVNO is a smaller carrier that runs on one of the big networks, so these plans use the same T-Mobile network as this deal for a lot less money each month. The one trade-off is that this deal doesn't work on an MVNO plan, and MVNOs rarely have phone promos that come anywhere close to what T-Mobile offers. If you're happy to buy your phone outright or bring one you already own, an MVNO gets you T-Mobile coverage without the T-Mobile price tag. Here are two great options on T-Mobile's network:

The iPhone Duo was worth the wait

Apple's first foldable is its thinnest iPhone when open, and it pairs the A20 Pro chip and an advanced vapor chamber with Apple Pencil support, a side-mounted Touch ID sensor, upgraded Apple Intelligence, and a pro-grade Fusion camera system in a durable titanium design. Yes, the iPhone 18 Pro runs the same A20 Pro chip for a lot less, but only the Duo unfolds into the largest display Apple has ever put on an iPhone.

I own a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5, so foldables aren't new to me. A big folding screen is fantastic for reading, multitasking, and watching videos, and Apple Pencil support makes this one a natural fit for signing documents or jotting handwritten notes on the go.

What to know before you grab the T-Mobile iPhone Duo deal

The $1,000 arrives as up to 36 monthly bill credits, so you'll keep the phone on installments and the line active for three years, and leaving T-Mobile or paying the phone off early forfeits any remaining credits. Demand is high, so shipping times are running longer than usual, but your credits won't start until the phone ships, which means the wait doesn't cost you anything.

A longer wait for Apple's first foldable is a pretty fair trade, and it gives you time to back up your old phone and clear out a camera roll full of blurry receipts. Three years is also easy to live with on a phone this new, since you'll want to keep it long enough to get your money's worth anyway.

Common questions about the T-Mobile iPhone Duo deal

How much is the iPhone Duo at T-Mobile with the deal?

The iPhone Duo costs $999.99 at T-Mobile after the full $1,000 credit, down from $1,999.99 for the 256GB model. That works out to about $27.78/month over 36 months on Experience Beyond 2.0.

Can existing T-Mobile customers get the iPhone Duo deal?

Existing T-Mobile customers can get the full $1,000 off the iPhone Duo by trading in an iPhone 16 in any condition, with no new line required. Customers on Experience Beyond or Go5G Next qualify alongside those on Experience Beyond 2.0.

Deals on brand-new phones can change without much warning, so I'd get your order in while the Duo is still half off.
