What is the Verizon Simplicity Plan and how does it work?
The Simplicity Plan starts at $45/month, with a promotional rate of $30/month for new customers switching to Verizon. Every Simplicity customer gets access to 5G Ultra Wideband (Verizon's fastest network) with no network tiers and no upcharge. That's a huge difference from Verizon's existing myPlan lineup, where Ultra Wideband access is reserved for higher-tier plans.
Here's what's included as standard:
- Unlimited 5G Ultra Wideband data
- 10GB of premium mobile hotspot
- Roaming in Canada and Mexico
- Satellite texting
- Device flexibility
Beyond connectivity, everything else is optional. You can add streaming bundles or travel features based on what you actually need, and skip what you don't. The "For Movie and Show Lovers" bundle, for example, includes Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Netflix & Max (With Ads). A Travel bundle adds Global Calling Plus and 3 Travel Pass Days. You only pay for what you choose to add.
What is Verizon One?
Verizon One is a combined mobile and home internet plan launching alongside Simplicity today. It's priced at $70/month with taxes and fees included and is designed for new Verizon customers who want a single bill covering both their phone service and home internet. The plan is managed entirely through the My Verizon app and runs on Verizon's 5G network and its 100% fiber network where available.
What is the new Verizon loyalty program?
Verizon's new loyalty program is available to all postpaid customers on any plan — not just Simplicity. It has three components:
- No activation or upgrade fees: Verizon is eliminating fees of up to $40 per device for all postpaid customers who opt in. The company says this is an industry first.
- Verizon Dollars: Customers earn 3% cash back every month just for being on Verizon. Starting in July, Verizon Dollars can be redeemed for devices and accessories, or exchanged for up to 5x value at partners including Sephora, Hilton, Marriott, and Starbucks.
- Verizon Shine: A weekly sweepstakes program with prizes ranging from concert tickets and sporting events to travel experiences, plus daily drops in the My Verizon app including gift cards, free food, and exclusive merchandise.
You can opt into the loyalty program in one step through the My Verizon app. It's open to existing customers as well as new sign-ups.

- Add any bundles you want. Choose from streaming, travel, or other add-ons—or keep it as connectivity-only and skip them entirely.
- Opt into the loyalty program. Once your account is set up, enroll in Verizon's loyalty program through the My Verizon app to eliminate future activation and upgrade fees and start earning Verizon Dollars.

Is the Verizon Simplicity Plan worth it?
For new customers shopping for a carrier, the $30/month promotional rate with 5G Ultra Wideband included and no activation fee is a competitive offer. It's worth comparing against your current plan, especially if you're on an older plan that has increased in price over time.
Just know that the standard 10GB of hotspot data won't be enough for heavy hotspot users, and international roaming data is capped at 15GB at high speed. If either of those is important to you, Verizon's Unlimited Plus or Unlimited Ultimate plans are still available and offer more in both areas.
For existing Verizon customers, the loyalty program is the bigger development here. Eliminating upgrade and activation fees and earning 3% back every month are concrete benefits that apply regardless of which Verizon plan you're on.
