Amazon Prime day starts October 6-7 2026

Amazon Prime Day is October 6-7, 2026, but if you're a Prime member, you can start shopping the deals right now. I went digging through Amazon's early tech deals looking for the biggest discounts I could find, and I found a bunch of amazing ones. My current Amazon cart total of $2,358 proves I may have gotten a little too excited.

Since I can't actually buy everything in that cart, I narrowed it down to the five deals I'm most excited about, ranked by the highest discount. Each one is at least 40% off, a couple is at prices I've been waiting on for a full year, and one deal was so good I bought it before I even finished writing this article.

Early Prime Day tech deals at a glance

iRobot Roomba robot vacuum and mop: Lowest price all year

iRobot Roomba robot vacuum and mop
  • Total savings: $401 (50% off)

I've been watching this exact Roomba for the past year, and I promise you this is the cheapest it has ever been. It vacuums, mops, and dries your floors, then empties itself into its dock, which can hold up to 90 days of dirt before you have to deal with it, so it's basically the best robot vacuum and mop combo you can buy.

I've wanted one of these for a long time, so now I just need to convince my wife this is a gift for the whole house, not just me buying another gadget. Wish me luck.

Blink 2K wired doorbell and 5-camera bundle
  • Total savings: $280 (70% off)

Security cameras are weirdly expensive, so when you find a good bundle on sale, you have to jump on it. I've been shopping for cameras for my house for the last year, and this is easily the best deal I've seen, because you get a 2K doorbell camera and five regular cameras for about $20 a device.

I don't think I've ever bought anything faster than I bought this bundle. If you've been putting off a home security setup because of the price, this is the deal you've been waiting for.

Samsung 32-inch Odyssey G5 curved gaming monitor: The best monitor I've ever owned

Samsung 32-inch Odyssey G5 curved gaming monitor
  • Total savings: $140 (42% off)

I bought this exact monitor a year ago when it was $50 off, and I thought I got a steal. Seeing it at almost three times that discount stings a little, and now I'm seriously wondering if my desk needs a second one.

It's been a fantastic part of my work-from-home setup, with a sharp QHD screen and a 165Hz refresh rate that's plenty fast for after-work gaming. The curved screen makes it easy to see everything at once, and it just looks really cool on a desk.

Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition bundle: Perfect for cozy fall afternoons

Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition bundle
  • Total savings: $134 (40% off)

Yes, you can read ebooks on your phone (we even rounded up the best book reading apps), but reading on an E Ink screen is the best ebook experience you can get. This bundle includes the 32GB Signature Edition and a jade plant-based leather cover, making it a phenomenal deal.

The timing is perfect, too, because the weather is cooling down and fall and winter are prime reading seasons. A Kindle, a blanket, and a phone that's in another room sounds like a pretty great evening to me.

JBL Tune Buds: Incredible quality at an affordable price

JBL Tune Buds
  • Total savings: $50 (50% off)

At $50, you'd be hard-pressed to find better earbuds for less money anywhere. The Tune Buds have active noise canceling to block out the world around you, plus JBL's Smart Ambient technology, which does the opposite and lets outside sound in when you need it. You can switch on Ambient Aware to hear traffic or announcements around you, or use TalkThru, which turns your music down so you can have a quick conversation without taking your earbuds out.

So you can block out a loud flight and then still hear the gate announcements on your way off the plane, all without fumbling with the charging case. That's a lot of earbud for $50.

More Amazon Prime Day deals we're tracking

We're checking for new Amazon Prime Day deals every day as we get closer to Prime Day on October 6-7, and early deals like these can sell out or jump back up in price without much warning. If something here caught your eye, I'd grab it now.
